Subject: Volunteers for Team:Shuttle
Date: 08/05/2025 16:21
From: Marjolein
To: Hugh Wells

Hi Hugh,

We have looked at your schedule and discussed it with Xu. It’s a long read. We would appreciate some answers or suggestions from you.

Work locations in the template are just ment as refference list, based on an older version of the map. You were right not to work hard on adding information to it!

We are wondering what your location on camp is: Ol Telecom? Is that a Village?

Location
You have indicated ‘Shuttle Drop-Off’ as a starting location for your shifts. We’ve seen ‘Shuttle Bus’ on the map but also ‘luggage shuttle’. Do you know which will be the right one?
I think we may add the parking lot as location to your shifts and add to the shift type descrption where exactly the shift starts.

On your wiki you say that if it is the first shift of the day or there was no prior driver on your shuttle you first need to grab the key from the Logistics HQ. We can’t find that on the map yet, but we understand it will probabely be there in the future. Shall we add this to the description of the shift type?

Angel type

We will remove the part about the schedule in the description, it will be in shift.

And we would like to add a little more text on what Shift Driver angels do + how they can meet the requirements.

We could use this:
"Shift Driver angels drive the shuttle service between the Alkmaar train station and event venue for visitors who travel by train. When it’s busy they drive continously. On less busy times the shuttle leaves on demand.
To be eligible for this role you need:

- A valid Class B license

- Have attended the short onboarding introduction

The introduction is provided in a session each morning and afternoon in Heaven at …[Time]…, you will find us near …[place in Heaven]… More info on driving the shuttle at https://wiki.why2025.org/Shuttle_Service_Driver_Info"

You can add exact time and place of introduction meeting later, or you can refer to the “meetings” announcement in Engelsystem. There you can add your planned introduction meetings and all angels can see those.

Shift type

Shift (type) title should be something like Shuttle Service?

The description of your shift(type) is the opportunity to attract the angels you want. We would like to include some highlights, like: “Driving our beautiful (electric?) shuttle service is a great opportunity to meet new visitors and help them get a good start on camp.”

Maybe the description should include: please bring your drivers license and please don’t forget to abstain from alcohol before your shift.

And maybe it should include: please check the signal group in advance to know where you should pick up the key to the van.

We think that the driver is the only angel on the shuttle? We would like to specify this in the description. Do you have six shuttle vans?

Could it be that the amount of shifts is too high on day 2, 3 and 4. Maybe one angel in the parking lot and the other on demand in the signal group?

You have Y(es) at Requires short introduction (Y/N) (arrive 5 to 10 min before). Is this because the pickup of keys / handover of the van? If so we will add this to the description.

We notice that Heaven is the drop of for the shuttle keys if everything is closed at night. We can probably only provide you ‘best effort’, because we don’t know if Heaven will be staffed in the night. We would also need some kind of safe to store the keys safely overnight. Or maybe you should think of something else (one of those keyboxes with code at LHQ or is that too attractive for lockpickers?)

DECT
You could consider having a call group - a DECT number that makes multiple individual DECTS (also have their own numer) ring. In that case we will (almost) always be able to contact you.
Team:POC can arrange this for you, https://forms.gle/iSJkB6NHjAXGYoiS7

Any extra information that you can provide us with is greatly appreciated!
