One of our other parents described it nicely on our list: "It really depends on the parents and their expectations. Just sharing my own experiences My eldest learned to walk at one of the previous camps and I've seen plenty of young kids & even babies being brought along with their parents to one of the various Dutch, German and Belgium hacker camps I've attended over the years." If you have specific ideas or requirements that we can keep in mind, please do join in one of the Team:Family meetings online (schedule here: https://wiki.why2025.org/Team:Family ) and let us know. Let's do more of these things. Creating some kind of common cooking space and tools are likely possible as long as the results not sold - health and safety regulations and all that. Campfires for roasting marshmellows is also cool, but may have a little more restrictions, would need to check with safety teams about it. Keep the ideas flowing! Please do add to the projects list on the bottom of https://wiki.why2025.org/Team:Family On 1/15/25 13:24, Ralf van Dooren wrote: > Hi Carmen, > > Not a member of the Team:Family "core team", but here's my experience > from last time: > > Some attendees and I organised a pizza workshop > (https://wiki.mch2022.org/Team:Family/MozzarellaCrustHerbs) and this > was no issue. Maybe some parents can organise a cooking workshop to bake delicious treats. Or another idea is to create a campfire and bake bread on sticks and roast marshmellows. And I have been working on the wiki recently. Now I noticed that there is currently little information on the Family villages on the wiki and now the first questions are coming in during the ticket sales. I was wondering two things: 1) Could you come up with some questions and answers for a FamilyFAQ? Your FAQ has been setup here: https://wiki.why2025.org/Family_FAQ I have made a bunch of questions I could come up with that parents will have for you, or you are probably used too. Now it's a great idea to answer your questions only once in the mail, and then add it to this page. Also I would recommend adding a link from the team page for all parents, something like: "If you look for answers, just go here first: https://wiki.why2025.org/Family_FAQ" 2) Would it be an idea to setup the FamilyZone page once more (see: https://wiki.mch2022.org/FamilyZone) I have created the empyt page already: https://wiki.why2025.org/FamilyZone If you like I can help copy over the FamilyZone page, and you have to create the content ofcourse. 3) We are looking for blogs... recently you have been on WHYcast. We want you to write a little blog for the website. You can just reply or sent it in separately. If you have any questions for team:info, I am now your contact. So any questions then just mail me, or send a mail to the general info at why2025.org. Warm regards, Robert / Number3 -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:
