Hi all,

A few more than minor annoyances of the past ten days:

Several teams/villages haven't bothered to put in current contact data
in their ORGA wiki and/or their visitor wiki entries.

A few things are relevant hereL:

IRC/slack are not appropriate for inter-team communications. Mail
typically is, because of it asynchronous nature. Bear in mind a lot of
people are juggling work/family obligations and/or are in different
time-zones. Asynchronous media beat synchronous media in this regard.
Also, do not expect others to install the memory-sucking hellbeast that
is the Slack client.

A mail adress of a single person is making that single person a single
point of failure. Which is failure all around.

If you have a mailing list and you feel you must put mail from
non-members on moderation, make sure that the moderation queue is
watched by multiple persons, because otherwise you have again introduced
a single point of failure. In practice it's rarely worth the hassle not
to accept mail from non-member.

If your contact details on the ORGA wiki are inconsistent with the ones
on the visitor wiki, you may be doing it wrong.

If you have put a ticketing system behind your primary mail address,
that is fine. Don't come crying if you end up having to merge multiple
tickets because a conversation about the same topic ensued across team
boundaries. Your choice, your problem.
