Due to the ways academia "works" now, you have to provide the PhD
students with a plausible excuse to be allowed to run wild in the camp.
For that something like a summer school might be appropriate.

Either way, this idea is still in preliminary stages. Personally, I am
not going to spend time and energy on it, if some people want to, I am
not going to stand in their way and will applaud them if they happen to
succeed.

Or as one genocidal progressive once put it "let a thousand flowers bloom".
