[mch2021-terrain] Turning off public emails to Team:Terrain’s mailing list

Hi Team:Terrain

Currently you’ve configured your mailing list to allow any and all
emails from non-members. As Team:Sysadmin we’re working on disallowing
this option. This is to reduce the amount of spam being relayed by our
mailserver, as well as keeping spam out of the mailing list archives.

Please note that we’ve reconfigured all orga lists recently to allow
mails from people belonging to the orga, meaning mails from either
IFCAT-owned domains or people who have subscribed to the orga mailing
list. This should cover your usage of the mailing list given we do not
recommend using it for external communication (for ex. vendors and
visitors).

Mailman allows you to set it to either Accept, Hold, Reject or Discard.
We’re planning to switch your list back to Hold. If you want either
Reject or Discard, please reach out and we’ll get you sorted, or
(preferably) change the setting yourself in the list configuration
(generic_nonmember_action).

Please let us know if you’re receiving external communication (eg
suppliers) on your list and need help on changing the email whitelist
setting.

Without response we’ll change the list setting on the 21st of November.
