Hi Manduca,

In the attachment I've made some markups on the print screen to elaborate the sketch drawing.

The basics of the layout is as follows;

  *   20ft storage containers on the left and right side
  *   Office 6x6m in the lower right corner
  *   Crew laydown area / units (9x2,5m) in the back
  *   Storage space for cable crates and stuff that won’t be delivered or transported in containers.
     *   This area is surrounded and split by a driving lane.

Logistic wise, we would suggest to load- and unloading trailers on the gravel road (in the parking section next to the road). I believe that was the planning from the start, or at least from our point of view.

Traffic on the LSD itself other than delivery of the 20ft containers, I expect this will be limited to forklifts and small transport vehicle (gator) or such.

In terms of space I think it’s close to what we actual need. We’ve got quite a lot containers and stuff that we transport or is delivered in normal transport trailers.

The actual count of needed containers will be known in the last week before the event and the storage space for crates at the event itself. I haven’t see your drawing yet, but I can’t imagine that there’s not enough space for the both of us, it’s about 200x90m! I think the best we can do is keep in touch with each other during the buildup and delivery of stuff. In my opinion we’ll know soon enough during the first buildup days If we need less space and can rearrange pieces.

Today I’ve had time to convert the quick sketch into a drawing with actual sizes of the objects (see second attachment).

It turns out that the sketch was well estimated because the drawing doesn’t needs more space than the sketch or the reservation we’ve made on the map in the yellow area last February.

Hi,

Thanks for your mail. I'll send a complete response later. Bit burned down by meetings and long working days now.

I did send drawings to Terrain, but they never got incorporated in de map. And because normally nobody cares what LSD looks like except for ourselves I never bothered about it. I'll make an updated better one.

Will probably be this weekend.

I do have a first request to better explain your picture, and include the whole LSD so I have a size reference. For what it looks like now, it's is more then a quarter of LSD. Why this amount of space is needed, and is it essential or nice to have?

I also would like to know what kind of traffic you are expecting. So I can think of efficient routing so that we do not block each other. We were planning on unloading trucks on this terrain and we need maneuvering space for the forklifts.

This would help me to think of ways we could integrate this on the field so I can do some suggestions.
