[mch2021-orga] sustainability in the camp

Hi All,
Over the past few events this same discussion always comes up one time or another. Unfortunately it has been proven that it isn’t feasible to use alternative power at the scale that is necessary to run the entire event from a technical perspective. Even if it would be, the logistics and costs would make it impossible as well.
The power team is currently looking at alternatives for generators in the form of getting a temporary connection to the electricity net. This would, if succesful, take away the need for using loud generators on the field.
In general, we should look into sustainability. I would suggest to keep all these great suggestions for the teams available and in the end for all the participants. However, we should be realistic where we, unfortunately, can’t use these more sustainable solutions from an organisational perspective.
Best regards,
Attilla
