Alternatively, when people open up their order (eg. by clicking the
link in the footer of the update mail "An update about your WHY2025
merch order") they can fill out contact information in the "Your
information" section of the page. After this, the last remaining step
is to have people scan their tickets at the merch booth.

This covers the correctness and readability of the contact information,
removes the need for on-paper contact details, validates the presence
on-field of the ones who ordered merch, and gets rid of a potential
GDPR nightmare.

Please don't use paper forms on-site.
